However many it is, Tallulah seems to be getting through them at quite a rate. We think she's used 3 in 10 months!
She used her first when she was about to become cat food (or was it baby food? Or chicken paste? Or chicken pie filling?)... but we came along and made sure there were a few more lives left in the old girl yet :o)
Then in the summer, she used up her second when she was doing really nasty splatty poos and wasn't getting out of bed - we thought her time was up then as she really wasn't very well (not that you'd know it now!) but she pulled through, with lots of private porridge and corn.
And then today, she used up a third! Mr Nora heard an almighty racket this afternoon and looked out the window to see Tallulah flopped over and limp, stuck by her neck with her head through the decking panel! Remember the decking panels?
He came barelling down the stairs - and by the time he reached the spot where he'd seen her flopped over, she'd disappeared! She'd figured it out and released herself and was found wandering off up the garden.
It seemed she reached up to stick her head through the widest part of the gap but... then bent down to nibble something on the decking and then freaked out when she couldn't get her head back out (she hadn't figured out that she's have to reach back up again before she could get her head out of the wide bit).
We don't know if she's clever, dim or plain Lucky. Or some or all of the above :o)
But they're all in bed now. The temperature's really dropping off at night (it was only 15 degrees Celcius this afternoon) so we're still putting the two girls (who sleep on the top of the Cube) to bed manually. I wonder if they'll ever figure it out?
