This time next month, we'll be very close to moving. For the last few months, we've been busy emptying the loft/shed/garages, dismantling furniture and packing. Sorry if I've neglected the blog - but rest assured, the girls are fine :o)
Which reminds me... Yesterday, we took the shed down - so the run is now at the end of the garden on it's own. One side is now completely exposed (the side where the shed used to be) and Mr Nora said how lovely and bright it is now in the run.
But yesterday evening, whilst we were sitting watching TV, Mr Nora realised that this newly-exposed side only has weldmesh - no extra layer of chain-link fencing (as on the front) so perhaps the girls weren't as secure from Mr Fox now.
That was it. I rushed down to the Cube and shut the door, locking them in safely for the night. Their first night ever sleeping in the Cube with the door shut. We've not done that since we bought the Cube in the summer - and we didn't do it for ages with the Eglu, as it means getting up at ridiculous o'clock (dawn) to let them out. We won't be doing it when we move either, as we'll have 2 flights of stairs to stagger down.
So at 7am this morning, Mr Nora went out in the dark to let them out. They were very, VERY sleepy, very quiet, blinked lots, and just quietly coo'ed like pigeons. Until Angelina came galloping out! Perhaps we'll do it more often, now that we're up earlier than they are. No hang on, our clocks go back next Sunday so it won't be so dark at 7am... Oh well :o)
Right, next job is to put the pieces of shed up against the exposed side, just for peace of mind!
