We've been tidying up the run, replacing the old pencils with bargain decking boards which we'll stain - the run will look really smart when we've finished :o)
We've also filled in the gaps at the end of the run roof, so we'll be able to leave the Cube door open at night without fear of foxes getting in through the gaps. That means we can have a lie-in now, as we've been getting up at 6:30am to let the girls out!
Today, the girls laid their eggs in the afternoon for a change - at one point, Sophia, Gabrielle and Angelina were in the nest box together - Gabrielle laid a lovely little green egg and then I caught Angelina EATING Sophia's! I thought she was eating her own but later, she starting BOKKING really loudly and had laid her own... I think she might have followed Sophia in, just to eat her eggs, the cheeky minx.
We sold something on Ebay and a little lad came with his dad to collect it this afternoon, just as Angie was yelling that she'd laid an egg so he took home two really fresh eggs from today and a couple for the rest of his family from yesterday's clutch :o)
The girls had a good run around this afternoon but then put themselves into the run, as it was getting dark and dingy out. All in all, another hectic day! And we're slowly getting there... but we're just not "there" quite yet!
